I just received my module today and updated it via WiFi with my binding phrase and my home WiFi credentials and it said everything was successful in the configurator. After I unplugged it and plugged it back in, nothing happens. No lights, no OLED, nothing. I'm pretty bummed because I waited a long time for this module and I was excited when it arrived. Any thoughts or tips? I've emailed Radiomaster but I'm not sure when I'll hear back from them.
#Radiomaster Bandit Micro Tx module won't power on after FW update.

is the radio configured to use the external module?
what baud rate was set?
Yeah, the radio is configured to use the external module. I've been using a BetaFPV module for a year now. Baud rate is set to 400k. The Radiomaster module doesn't do anything whether it's in the JR bay of my transmitter or powered using USB or a battery with an XT30. I used the USB cable to power it up the first time and it powered on just fine. It went into WiFi AP mode after 60 seconds. I then went to the 10.0.0.1 webpage and entered my home network credentials. It then connected to the Expresslrs configurator via my home WiFi after 60 seconds. I updated it with my binding phrase and the latest FW with the correct device and target. It said everything was successful. I unplugged the cable that was powering it. I plugged the same cable back in to see if it would connect to the WiFi and that's when it didn't power on no matter what I tried. My transmitter won't even recognize it in the Expresslrs Lua.
increase the baud rate to 5.25M
reflash via uart/usb with erase before flash enabled..
and make sure to use the correct target in the configurator
I'm not sure how to reflash it via uart/usb mode.
I think it's working. I just plugged the usb cable into it and reflashed it with the erase function and it seems to be working as it did before. So, thank you very much for that! Do you think I should leave the baud rate at 5.25M for my other ELRS Tx module as well? It's the BetaFPV 2.4GHz module.
only the radio has the baud rate setting, unless you're going to use the tx module for airport..
which radio do you have?
Radiomaster TX16S
then yes, use 5.25M for the betafpv module as well..
heck, might as well just use the exact same model on the radio for both
I was going to pull the 2.4GHz receiver out of a model and replace it with the 915MHz receiver that I got to go with this Tx module and leave everything else the same and try it out. Any thoughts about that? Anything I might need to change?
should just be a direct swap
Sweet. I really appreciate the prompt reply and all the help. I wonder what went wrong with the first FW update??
not sure.. I'd rather not dwell on that and move on.. 😉
