Flywoo Firefly 1s v2 - no idea what im doing :')

Purchased the firefly 1s v2 with the walksnail VRX, and a . No matter how many joshua bardwell (and others) videos i sit though, i cant seem to successfully update expresslrs, getting and error code "no valid serial port detected, or port already open" - controller has some version of expresslrs on it, so not sure i need this step anyway. frustrated with that, i moved onto betaflight. When trying to bind in betaflight, I type in the bind command "bind_rx" and get "ERROR: bind not supported"

I have no idea what im doing and desperately need some big help! I cannot stand being so ignorant about this stuff.

step 1 calls for closing any configurator that's running and connected to the fc

i completely understand the no idea probelm is the hardest. thanks for the start. i have tried following the steps and greeted with a different error message

you've selected via ETX passthrough.. so you're NOT following the guide,

you're trying to flash/update a receiver.. not a TX

Hey there, so i got everything mostly setup now, but when i go to take off, it flips instantly. I suspect motor 2 and 3 are reversed but i cant get them to save in betaflight after i correct them. The option to save changes isnt highlighted. Any idea where i should start?

if your esc is a blheli-s, connect it to esc-configurator.com

otherwise, download hlhelisuite (or whatever it is for blheli32.. haven't got enough caffeine yet to remember)

okay, i went to esc-configulator.com and I tried reversing 1 motor and flashed the ecu, now when i click read settings, it fails to read 4 ecu's. How bad did i mess up? 😔

even after a power cycle?
i.e. unplug lipo, unplug usb, replug lipo, replug usb, reconnect, read settings

you didn't really have to "flash" just to reverse motor direction..

you just need to set motor direction in the window after reading the settings. direction is on the drop-down.. after changing, just "write settings"

damn... okay. even after a power cycle, i can connect and control the motors speed, but it still wont read if i click read settings. its trying to read 4 esc's, a quick google search looks like my board only has one? or do all quads have 4?

okay, i think i have all the motors in the correct direction, but now i can barely get the motors to spin, even through betaflight, esc config, or bl heli config. happened directly after reflashing firmware

did you changed any settings other than direction? you didn't checked what settings are in place BEFORE flashing and didn't compared it to what's there after? you have flashed the escs, so the old settings that's there will be wiped out
