I’m have a speedybee f405 50a stack that had broken off the usb port. I replaced the FC, now the ELRS rx will not power on with a usb. It will turn on with a battery, but won’t bind. Ran WiFi config with a battery and shows as up to date and entered the phrase, but nothing. I’ve checked my wiring and port settings and I’m pretty sure they are right.
Thx.

Funny, it did on the 1st fc lol

cold bison
#

you're not misremembering it?

#

that 4v5 pad DOES power up with just USB plugged in..

livid sky
#

Not the 4v5 but the 5v. That diagram is a little misleading. I’m an on the 5v pad.

cold bison
#

what I'm saying is that only those 4v5 pads power up with just USB connected.. so maybe you're misremembering where it was wired up in the old fc

livid sky
#

I’m looking at the old fc, no solder on that pad. I’m on the same pads.

cold bison
#

so where's the TX webUI options tab screenshot?

livid sky
#

I’m in WiFi configuration main menu, not sure what you need

cold bison
#

I need TX and RX webUI options tab screenshots

I don’t know where to get tx then

livid sky
#

Thx. I gotta go to work. Maybe tomorrow.

I’ve been going through the guide, I can’t find where it covers the tx, rx only. If I’m understanding it I think I have to go tx WiFi 10.0…. and get it there, the tx won’t generate at WiFi signal.

livid sky
#

Yes, that’s what I’m reading. It’s not helping.

#

I can’t connect the tx to WiFi

cold bison
#

have you set these parameters when you flashed the tx?

#

this was in the guide:

If your TX Module is previously flashed with your Home WiFi SSID and Password, and it can connect to that WiFi Network, then the Access Point will not show up.

livid sky
#

I don’t remember. Was a while ago. Doesn’t look like I did.

"WiFi Running" should be on screen of the radio

livid sky
#

Yes

cold bison
livid sky
#

No off? Or cycle the power?

cold bison
#

OFF
so if ever your device is set with the wifi credentials, with the router off, it cannot connect, and thus will be forced to start the access point

livid sky
#

There it is

cold bison
#

the only reason it won't show an access point is if it has connected to the router, or your devices aren't allowed to connect to 2.4GHz networks

cold bison
#

did the access point appeared when you turn off the router?

livid sky
#

Yes

cold bison
#

based on the UID numbers, that's matching between rx and tx, they should bind..

how many characters does your binding phrase have? is there symbol or space in your binding phrase?

cold bison
# livid sky Yes

go into wifi mode and select the last option (Forget Wifi credentials)

livid sky
#

No symbols 9 letters all lowercase.
Binding phrase is:
ballsdeep

#

I forgot home settings.

cold bison
#

once you've made the TX forget the wifi network, reboot the tx and rx..
post a screenshot of the expressLRS Lua Script screen with the tx and rx both powered up..

livid sky
#

Sorry but the lua script screen will be on the tx right?

cold bison
#

System Menu -> Tools page, scroll down to ExpressLRS

livid sky
#

Im connected, got the c.

cold bison
# livid sky

well, that C in the corner says you're connected/bound with the receiver..

#

post a screenshot of your betaflight Ports tab and receiver tab

cold bison
