#Backpack with TBS Fusion analog module?

Hi guys, I am a bit of a newbie to all this all so please excuse my ignorance.

I have a pair of HD Zero Goggles and also fly analogue with them through a TBS Fusion module attached to the HD Zero's. I am using a RadioMaster TX16s with a RadioMaster Ranger Micro external module.

Is there a way to get backpack working on a TBS Fusion analog module as well? I can change the channel on the quad through backpack but it doesn't also change the fusion module
and I still need to change the channel manually.

Any advice and assistance would be appreciated!

Yeah! You have to flash the ESP inside the Fusion which can be a little fiddly. Let me find the link

Had a look and think it may be a bit complicated for my skill level. Looks like you have to wire a ELRS receiver into the Fusion module? I was under the impression the Fusion module already had backpack capabilities built into it. I am sure i saw it on the specs when I purchased the unit, maybe I was wrong. will double check.

Ok thanks, had a quick look however I was hoping to do it straight through the LUA script on my radio, I can get it to change the quad channel but it wont also change the fusion channel. I guess once I start flying HD Zero as apposed to analog, that will sort out that issue.

@west pumice this is the best way to do it. You just use elrs firmware instead of tbs. You will need a FTDI adapter.

@west pumice it is a bit tedious having to lift the led screen and solder wires on the fusion to flash. But just take your time and go slow and follow the steps closely.

i got it, i flashed 1.3.0 and it works , when i updated it to 1.4.1 via wifi its brick again. binding works (led on esp is blinking) but no changing channel or to bring the module to wifi ap is also not working. back to 1.3.0 via fdti its working again. fun fact the radio is on 1.4.1

@brisk coyote Do I need to power the module from the goggles with the red wire on the chip?
