#No stick input in BF

Hey guys, I'm having trouble getting ELRS to work. I have a HappyModel ES24TX and a HappyModel EP1, my FC is a SpeedyBee F405V3. I've succesfully flashed the latest FW on both the Tx and Rx. They are paired.

I've made sure the Rx isn't in bootloader mode, when I power off the radio, it starts blinking as expected. The Rx is soldered to UART2, I've triple checked the Tx>Rx and vice versa. I've tried both on USB connection and on battery. In BF, I've turned on serial on UART 2 and set CSRF in receiver tab. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance πŸ™‚

apart from the extremely cursed wire colours your wiring does seem correct

#

could you show your betaflight ports tab and receiver tab?

pale geyser
#

Oh yeah, I hate it too

Tbh I've just grabbed random cables and went to town πŸ™ƒ

ebon crag
#

ok, connect to the rx wifi and take a screenshot of the webui

#

!webui

ebon crag
#

ok that's a weird one, nothing comes to mind rn

#

what does the led on the receiver do ?

pale geyser
#

Oh and on the first bind, the lua script told me about a model mismatch, so they do be talking (fixed that ofc)

ebon crag
#

so you fixed the model mismatch ?

#

was really hoping that was your issue aaaa

#

When my Tx is on, solid. When I just turn on the quad, goes into wifi after 30 secs. expected behaviour

#

I mean I turned that off... thats okay right? πŸ˜„

ebon crag
#

yes

pale geyser
#

yeah, no more errors coming up in lua

#

my mixers should be okay, cause this is a copy of a quad I lost a year ago with the same Rx

ebon crag
# pale geyser

could you show the whole page with version and firmware target ?

pale geyser
#

sure

#

RX

#

TX

#

oh version right

ebon crag
#

was talking about the webui

ebon crag
pale geyser
#

this ok?

ebon crag
#

yes :/

#

I'm really running out of things I can think of

pale geyser
ebon crag
#

you sure your mixes are right ?

pale geyser
#

pretty sure, yeah

ebon crag
#

internal rf is turned off right ?

pale geyser
#

Well, I could try a different UART....

#

yup

ebon crag
#

yeah at this point, might be worth a try

pale geyser
#

ugh. I hate soldering these small pads

ebon crag
#

takes practice

pale geyser
#

takes patience 😁

#

welp, if you or anyone else has another suggestion, I'm all ears

#

but going to bed rn

#

thanks for your help!

ebon crag
#

yeah I should to, sorry I couldn't be of help

pale geyser
#

I'm glad you took the time to try

ebon crag
#

you'll have to wait for more competent people to chime in

pale geyser
#

when are those active? πŸ˜„

ebon crag
#

and by people I mainly mean deadbyte haha

#

he should be on when you wake up

faint stone
#

@pale geyser is that your actual bind phrase?
can you show us a screenshot of the Model Tab from the receiver's Web UI please

faint stone
#

on the radio, Model Menu -> Telemetry page, how many sensors are you getting?

pale geyser
#

Are they supposed to be here?

faint stone
#

there should be at least 9, more than that is good..

pale geyser
#

got 18 new

faint stone
pale geyser
#

quick question, will I see stick movement when the battery is not connected? I ofc tried with battery too, just curious

faint stone
#

can you show the Other Devices, select the receiver..

pale geyser
faint stone
#

hmm.. RCVR_INVERT_TX is NOT enabled?

pale geyser
# pale geyser

I can flash it again for peace of mind, but I'm 99% sure it's not

faint stone
#

in the CLI, can you execute get serialrx and see whether serialrx_inverted=on

pale geyser
faint stone
#

clean up the soldering on R2.. might be shorting with the 4v5 pad

#

might also be ideal to resolder the green wire altogether..

pale geyser
#

oh god, you're right

#

it seems to be shorted, according to my multimeter

#

wow, you really have a great eye, I never would have noticed

#

everything works!

#

thank you so much
