I didn’t feel okay with English being forced into cutscenes too when someone had JP picked or other languages.

Hopefully they will fix that issue and work on it.

This also goes for the music selection, it shouldn’t be a hard step to let people pick CN/JP for a song.

For example this, the cutscene mid combat is not blurry like how we have. Idk if it was processed or they just recreate it or something. But this is what we should have gotten for cutscene.

Again probably to save time or it was easier to just play an mp4 file instead. Don't blame them, they were small back then.

How to fix? Either have 3 different mp4 file for each language or recreate the cutscene but in game instead of mp4 file.

That's why I don't expect them to have this soon and with WW being release.

I don’t know how to code or develop games so I cannot say much, unfortunately.

However, this issue has been going on ever since Recitativo Di Fantasia.

Sometimes the characters combat would change to CN from JP.

It still does.

I just thought that you can easily replace cutscenes with different ones together. I’m not the person to comment on this type of issue anymore.

It’s better then done with people who know how to do what I implied in that message earlier, all I did was talk about how everything should be done smoothly & properly. A small system for example to change the lobby music by clicking on it and selecting it would be cool, the dub options not glitching. If you pick English DUB your whole game play is with English DUB, if you pick JP Dub your games DUB is all JP, if you pick CN it’s DUB is all CN.

Of course, i’m not the person to comment on these type of stuff.

I personally love the English DUB, some won’t like it but it’s okay but kuro letting people forcefully play it is saddening. I mean if you are a very veteran player then you might not feel the characters soul because you’ve always played JP, english makes you feel empty.

It shouldn’t be too hard though in my point of view to fix the option system. They did a mistake again in Hanying patch. All cutscenes we’re in JP but Fu-Shen boss fight lines we’re good according to the option you picked.

JP DUB: You hear Jp Fu-Shen.

ENG DUB: You hear Eng Fu-Shen

CN DUB: You hear Cn Fu-Shen.

That’s a good thing, as for the cutscenes it’s in JP though in all the DUBS.

They will probably fix the cutscenes next patch hopefully and place them by order, they might be translating the new patches, the events right now.

It’s a hard job yes, but this isn’t a RLLY huge problem. It should be easy to FIX.

A reply that can say “We will fix the cutscene issue next patch.” is enough to please a player. But saying “soon” isn’t. It’s gonna make some people feel frustrated.

Even two months is okay aslong as YOU promise to FIX the issue.

Too soon is like your mother promising to buy you this item you really wanted for your birthday but you still haven’t gotten the item because other issues came up, and since it’s soon there’s no date on how you can get that item.

Another issue I have is with all languages being forcibly downloaded and taking up space for no reason

Most games have a language pack manager in settings from where u can download a voice pack and delete the rest

Heck almost every game asks you at the start, before downloading additional assets

Which language do u want the game to be in and which language do you want the voiceovers to be in

All this is easily fixed. The game supports donwloading stuff ingame. So allow the download of voice and video packs inside the game, instead of outside, with the client, depending on the selected option. This would reduce the game size as well.

All of these are the ones which should have been considered before the dub. I mean, the very first thing you ask yourself is "how are people going to switch to this? how can we make it easier? how can we not make it take up unnecessary space? what is the proper way to implement this?"

My guess is that Global team have 2-3 guys working overtime and they just could not be arsed.

Definitely an attempt at localization here. The localization team got changed. You can see this tone during Survival Lucem as well. When things were really good.

The change can be clearly seen during Noan's patch.

This change happened quit recently. It wasn't there during Garnet's patch, that's when I started playing the game.

Now, with the hamfisting of EN dub, with the pronoun bullshit in Noan's patch (who tf would ask for pronouns? only muricans do) there is definitely an attempt here to play by the usual localizer book.

the problem with these PGR CCs or as a whole KusO CCs, never raised awareness of any kind of the problems in the game
just glaze every thing KuSo game does without blinking an eye to the issues
and they got hoyoverse and their CCs as a punching bag for validating their POV and that's it. They can't take fair criticisms back on their own games by saying everything Dev does is for the good of the game.

I didn't know EN has it, I heard some Japanese during the animation (when you enter the gacha) and was thinking "oh cool, there is JP voice lines", before listening to nothing and switch to CN instead.

Yeah, her takes on censorship is wild to me. And just because (female) characters are showing "too much skin" from what I hear or see, being the main point about it. I don't care much if a character show skin or not, but I do give props to Kuro for doing a decent censorship though, they are (many) times where it's just horrible or poorly done, at least here it keeps the character pretty close to the original.

Edit : didn't read correctly about it being in our version – and just happened to see it – and yeah that sucks. I don't mind the option for those that really want it but otherwise let me have the original one.

I've seen in the notice about the 3 characters in question having some issues with their model, but I was not sure it was the 3D model or the 2D art (cause the 3D model doesn't seem to be censored).

I go to the gray raven website mainly to know the content/dates of some updates. But if I remember, the website was created before she took over as the main person behind it.
For guides I just watch Spider2B.

I still find it weird that EN has voice over for a skin but not JP, unless it's another "bug". Or because they didn't do it at first and the patch was already done on JP they didn't see the need to add it afterward and only focused on EN because we didn't had the patch yet? I think I'm just over this game at this point. I want to support Kuro but I don't want to fund the global team pushing english dub any longer. I've spent several thousand $ already and was willing to do more if they bothered to just upload both dub trailers for everything, but they can't even do something that simple.
