Its been an hour and the screen is always at checking files..

Been having the same problem, it's not reading the directory of the files.
It's so bad on my end that even getting it to re install the game causes it to sit a the launcher screen with the checking files message, I've tried about 15 different work arounds and the current one I'm doing has allowed to redownload the game files as for if it will succeed on the check well we shall see.

Same problem here. Changing from HDD to a SSD does nothing. I don't even know where to start looking next.

Well it doesn't say checking file on the launcher anymore although when I hit enter it stalls out on a black screen and the application is reading as not responding. 🥴

I got in. So apparently when you uninstall the game, the game file itself isnt deleted, just the launcher. So you need to delete that too. And you need to change the region into USA as well.

I've been doing clean installs so clearing all of it and starting fresh each time but I can try it again never hurts
