Every time I start the game from the launcher, it always gets stuck on the Kuro game logo and it will eventually stop responding if you click on it. This is kind of a hassle every time you wanna start the game. It will take me a couple of restarts of the launcher for it to run fine.
I don't know if this is the cause, but whenever I click on enter while checking the local files, it will trigger the hiccup. If I wait for the file checking, it will run normally. My suggestion is to disable the Enter button while the launcher checks for the files
but the error will happen again after I exit the game and launch it again

this was still an issue back in ascension test. i had sent them this too, they did reach out to me but still hasnt been fixed

oh damn. i wasn't in the ascension test so I was not aware this has been an issue
directly running pgr.exe in the installation folder is the best thing we can do for now
just use the launcher when there's an update

i dont know if this will work for others, but it seems to work better when i have an emulator running
when i have LD player on, it has a better chance of starting
if its closed, i cant get it to work

I think i might have found a temp fix. run the launcher as admin and disable compatibility mode. Then wait for the launcher to complete checking the files

I am on a laptop, when I want to start the game I have to unplug the charger first then to set battery mode to best battery life. After I unpluged the pc and set batery mode to best battery life. The game started fine with no problems. Then I plugged back in the charger and set the battery to best performance

Okay I discovered a consistent solution. When you open the launcher, all you have to do is let the launcher idle for about 3 minutes. This is because of the program is trying to filecheck the game before opening, but for some reason, it let's you open the game before it's finished, and also, it never actually tells you when it's done either. Therefore, once you open the launcher, give the game 2-3 minutes to do it's filecheck, and then you can open it.

I already informed customer support about this and suggested to disable the enter button until the launcher finishes checking the files

Well there's another workaround people found and it's adding pgr to steam
