In short you want to get at least 1 character that can be dps for each elemental/type team because end game content punishes you from using incorrect team for each respective stage.
Once again, support is whatever for early level.

Upcoming Kamui S rank character like 3 weeks more (limited/debut banner, but very worth, this is where you spend your tickets)
Teddy: Specter for ice (absolutely free along with all of her gear)
Liv: Limpidity for lightning (impossible to get until rerun)
Rosetta: Arete for dark (can be obtained for free next update from the updated standard banner)
Luna: Oblivion (free for 1$ if you're willing to top up) or Nirvatia (absolutely free with all of her gear)
