Cottie has a slightly higher base attack than most memories. The bottom row 4,5,6 hold the attack and defense stats, which is really all that matters (excluding defense). While the top row 1,2,3 hold HP and crit, you don't really care about HP, nor do you care about crit if you're not physical.

Currently theres free crimson weave and feral, so like you can level those and breeze through story

Though im sure story still locks you to the characters they want you to use

Lucid dreamer and echo are free from dorm

Also I think SS3 Lilith should suffice, save your shards for weapon resonance IMO
