heals work on whoever is onfield, which is either the current character, or the other characters that come out during their QTE, which you can activate at certain times
to heal someone else, you either a) be on the teammate and bring the healer's qte out to you, or b) be on the healer and bring the teammate's qte out to you and heal them while they're on field
realistically you don't need to do this for healing bc most healing is done through qte and healing is also mostly unnecessary with correct play
but this is the basics of buffing in general too, so yeah

His basic mechanic is doing a 3-ping, then you can hold down basic attack for an alternate moveset

If you let go of basic attack at any point, he dodges back and does a sniper shot

how come you don't constantly attack to get more orbs? is it to wait and dodge enemy attack?

orbs are resources to perform your dps rotation
you want to maximize dps by performing that rotation as fast as possible
once you're out of orbs, most chars' dmg drops really hard and it's more dmg to switch to another character and do their rotation instead, and wait for the first char to get their stuff back

it's like a "soft" cooldown
