I'm aware that whatever blue stacks you have that should convert to the same number onto combustible stacks. But what is causing it to multiply/add extra stacks, I would like to take advantage of thisgaining extra stacks as quick as possible for faster rotation.

although if you're using epitaph in the team with oblivion you can just split them up
because Epitaph is far and away the 2nd best unit you have damage wise
just use teddy/Kaleido + Bridget with oblivion, epitaph for 2nd team, and ig you can level laurel to handle the lowest difficulties

also assuming you got Empy from the event selector as recommended you put her on the team with epitaph

phantom moon is a so called farming event, there is one every patch.
and it's the best place for you to farm any memories/resources you need
