Then the new units started getting much stronger so leaps weren't helping as much

So they started giving leaps to actual old and lagging meta units instead

This still wasn't an issue cuz they actually did provide genuine QoL and damage buffs to the leaped characters, as can be seen with Garnet and Empyrea

But now they are just expensive yet mandatory payments made every patch that we have to make on old units cuz they wanna pedal their affix bullsht

Leaps in CN today are bascially 2% QoL 8% Damage 90%affix
