Blanc’s opinion on Ishmael is misleading. Ishmael cannot spam iframes. Her kit is comparable to Crimson Weave's in terms of interactiveness.
Blanc's opinion that she's the least interactive character because she just spams iframes attacks is not true. I don't know if he doesn't read/translate CN, or that he just doesn't test the character. I have access to CN PGR, and read Chinese. Let me explain.
Ishmael's core attack sequence using her dodge is activated by immediately dodging after the first normal dodge (like double tapping, and then continuously tapping dodge for each follow up attack). This attack sequence consumes her core energy gauge that she charges either with her orbs or her normal attacks. However, when this gauge is empty, she consumes her dodge gauge to perform this attack. She will consume all dodge gauge right before the final attack of this sequence if her energy gauge was empty.
During this attack sequence, if she utilizes her energy gauge, the attack sequence is invincible and deal increased damage. However, if she runs out of energy gauage and uses her dodge gauge, and therefore empty her dodge gauge, she only has super armor and a 50% damage reduction.
What does this mean? It means that Ishmael's invincibility is limited by resources, and her actual damage as well. She needs to charge up her gauge with orbs in order to gain this invincibility during her attacks. You cannot spam the dodge button against actual bosses because you only have 50% damage reduction. You also lose the ability do actually dodge attacks because your dodge gauge is empty. I specifically tested this; you will die. Bianca Stigmata is a worse offender in terms of gaining invincibility: simply dodge an attack to gain Resolution to activate invincible sword waves. Ishmael has no way of accessing that except using resources, or using basic attacks.

So no, she's not the "least interactive and engaging character in PGR by far". Her iframes are not spammable. She's a bit like CW, except CW can charge her invincible moves by holding dodge to charge her meter, which already grants her super armor and damage reduction. Ishmael has to gain her energy gauge through orbs and basic attack, both options can be hit out of, so she's actually worse in spamming iframes. She has her axe kick move, that is invincible, but it is also locked behind her meter resources.
I agree that often, new character have iframe spam issues. I also wish PGR would move away from that. But to claim Ishmael is the worst of them... that's just not true.

ok so the zaza strat for under SSS is

swap in, dodge, basic + cancel with 3ping + ult

basic + blaze orb, cancel blaze animation with hold dodge, blaze X2, ult

compared to SSS where you can fit 3 blaze orbs, SS has to cancel one of them

the difference with hoyoslop or wuwa is that pgr has actual content you have to pull for and have no choice to skip
in wuwa you can pull for 3 dps and stop pulling completely because theres literally 0 content that would force you to
