It depends if you need the damage or not, the animation can also knick a newly spawned wave too - if you don’t need the damage from even the 3rd blaze orb you can just cancel it with ult - but this is rare in fire, much more common in Void

A lot of the time my wata has his second ult hit shielded wave so I don’t even bother with the 4th/5th blaze orb dmg since it doesn’t do much to the void shields
