the other affixes are like weird alternative forms of their base elements

trueslash is like a weird offshoot of phys, glaciation is a weird offshoot of ice, burn is a weird offshoot of fire, ionization is a weird offshoot of lightning

they're different damage types and environmental affixes aren't interchangeable, but character buffs/debuffs are

and the characters that get those affix damage types have that part of their kit in addition to the base element, as different playstyles

e.g. balter leap lets her do a totally different rotation and playstyle for trueslash dmg, but the original rotation still exists for physical dmg
