i agree with you personally, tbh ppl these days, ever since WoW, ppl mentally quite changed, and the rise of the slave mentality rosed after the 7th gen console era started, around 2003-2007 (psp, ds, xbox 360, wii, ps3) i’ve noticed it through CoD specifically, since back then communities were simple but there’s the small minority who started to defend a game being bad, and it rose around 2012-2014 which is the transition period of this happening, i remember ppl playing CoD ghosts, advanced warface and BO3 and them literally defending the game bc “if you hate it, just don’t play it, we don’t care what you say”

will it change? no, the rise of F2P games would probably make ppl do more of this tbh
