Story was a tremendous letdown.
The persisting issue of characters being sidelined after their initial patch is disheartening. A fantastic inclusion would have been Lupa considering how her character and story has progressed. Not even any minor appearances like Shorekeeper or Black Shores resonators whenever we contacted them. There are so many directions the story could go that could involve the rest of the cast including the Ragunna lineup or even Jinzhou. Its extremely bland and tiring to see every quest isolate itself to a couple of new characters. Thus, giving us no development, no lasting story arcs or no connection or world building relating to the characters. And a final assembly at the finale does not mitigate any of these negatives.
Delving deeper into the 2.6 story quest specifically, the reliance on inanimate convenient devices like the "gem", "Primus Terminal", "discoid" or Christoforo's "book" can only be done so many times before it gets repetitive and predictable and detaches the player from actual personal stakes or removes any mystery from the story. Stories should be driven by characters and their motivations, not jumping between problem solving artifacts that have little if any build up or foreshadowing. Iuno's character is painfully one note and thus lacks originality. I had some interest in her before playing the second part which only served to diminish her character and just be reductive overall. There was not enough complexity to her to warrant such spotlight that she had.

The second half as a whole was plain bad. The concepts of chaos and the realm between life and death was dropped out of nowhere, and thus lacked any impact one would expect from a revelation like this. And the resolution of this completely new phenomenon and environment and all the baggage that comes with in 2 hours is unacceptable. The sequences with Iuno and her dialogue with Rovers are also executed without tact and thus come off as puffy, inorganic fanservice. Lastly, Iuno's story progressed the greater plot so little and it was such a one on one experience that its wrong to even include it as a main story rather than a companion quest. Not to mention, bringing back characters immediiately after their "death" or departure from the narrative without any lasting effect or any real struggle drains any stakes or any investment one could have immersed in the story or conflict.

My critique on the second half of 2.6 in the survey is similiar to yours. I didn’t mention anything related towards Jinzhou/Huanglong units because I already know that none of them will get glimps in rinascita patch.

I also focused on how I believe the events are pretty bland and they often feel like a chore to do. Like where are the fun co op events? They used to have them atleast every 2 patches lowkey missing it
