I think this is a super fair criticism. Honestly, it’s part of the reason I haven’t played. To me, without playing 2.6 yet it just feels like an advertisement for the resonators and since I don’t care about them I’m now forced to experience a story with them. Something like phrolova was essential to the plot’s forward momentum but with these two I’m suddenly suppose to care after one tiny interaction with them when they show up. I’m going to play it so I can better articulate this but it just feels like this patch is a massive railroad track to the further narrative experience of the game. I’m sure it’s related to rinascita in general but I agree with everything you wrote here.
