Here's the difference. in ruina you can actually survive more than 2 hits from a boss without getting staggered you have more options for pages to use and you gain emotion coins even on clash lose (you get an additional red coin for rolling min btw) which gives you a lv up, fully restoring your light for turn 2 and giving you an abno page to help you turn the fight around, and most importantly the boss doesn't suddenly have a 95% chance to roll max now because they won a clash and are max sanity. the average dice value remains the same unless you count boss specific mechanics.

My critique of sanity being a bad mechanic is that it's HEAVYLY polarizing have you ever heard that word? That 85/15 can very well go to your enemy instead making the fight basically unwinnable because once again, you get nothing when you lose the clash, and now the enemy has a much higher chance of winning than you do. And what decides who gets the sanity to start steamrolling? Multiple 50/50 coinflips.
Which is once again my point. In ruina the enemies won't suddenly start to win every clash as soon as you lose one.

She doesn't HAVE her original frame.
It was DESTROYED.

She couldn't have another frame made in the same vein because she and the rest of DEFY are an enemy of the Neo-Soviet Union. The necessary resources to do so have dried up entirely, plus the old frame is a downgrade technologically to the Mod 3, redesigning everything would take years and resources unavailable to them.

This is why 15 and everything they've done to her makes very little sense.

Why the reversion?
There's zero reason to go back, 94 doesn't so why would 15?
Why does she need some damn mech? There are excerpts from the game that literally state her to be the STRONGEST doll in the Soviet Union, able to punch the head off a Strelets cleanly, push past Mach 1, simply ignore damage that would incapacitate other dolls, and utilize weapons that nobody could ever hope to be able to wield due to sheer weight and bulk. She doesn't NEED A MECH, WHERE DID SHE EVEN GET IT FROM AFTER BERLIN???

Given the events of Mirror Stage, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone who came out of it and survived the rest of the story chose to stay with how they were.
There's zero reason to go back, both technologically AND as a deliberate choice of character.

The events changed not just themselves, but their entire course permanently, going back is spitting upon the unmarked and empty grave that Anna resides within.

This is my harshest criticism of PGR.
The story can't be taken with any true seriousness because inevitably, nothing ever happens.

Selena and her continuous pain? Yeah doesn't matter she will just move on no matter what.
Lamia's past? Never really brought up after Last Spark for no good reason.
Lucia dying? Yeah no, he didn't actually die because we said so.

No tension.
All the attempts to try and make things serious fall flat when the only ones who die are nobodies and people you get 3 scenes of dialogue with that reveal next to nothing about them.

Even Bridget, my favorite character, gets so little development in HER story, something meant to be entirely about her.
