I find a royal guard run against vergil easier than actually playing the game normally

And the only way royal guard can break is if you DT get depleted

And there also royal revenge which is spammable

Also trying to freeze your opponent with ragtime can back fire cuz trickster animation will make the player invincible

They dummed down Royal Guard's perfect guard frame in dmc 5 compared to dmc 4 which had tighter timings

Vergil's hell on earth also just completely makes him invincible while dealing a massive AOE dmg

There's also DT/SDT explosions or transformations that does that on a smaller scale

On one note, Goodluck also charging up ragtime without getting hit and have he breaker explode

The first unit released ellen was actually buffed and she is way better then ever and devs said they will be buffing older characters and also put them in story so they won't be forgotten. And they also announced buff for Jane, forth 5 star unit released. You can alse clear all content with 4 stars. If you play them well, so the game actually awards skill as well
