Well. It's obvious what a Meredith is usually trying to do with it. So I just use that change to position myself to a safer spot. Movement Speed and Jump is king.
Prio for me with upgrades is:

1. No Jump Height yet, then get it. Even just 20% unlocks escapes routes on every single map.
2. Skill/Ult/Awaken/Infinite mag depending on char
3. Damage
4. Speed
5. HP
6. Jump
7. Armor (It's just trash. Almost third of the upgrades has -20% and the plus on it are so strong you will pick it. So any Armor increase upgrade is just negated in the end when you have like -60-80% Armor.)
