Overlord peaked in novel instead anime, just like re:zero, if you have time that is, a lot of detail and world building often being left on anime, if you care about the plot that is thought

Always the case with anime unfortunately, that what i learn from transitioning from only anime watcher to manga and novel reader, i realize alot of stuff tend to get cut or even changed by the studio
