Fair, but in the end its a plot device, so its all depend on how it gonna progress from now, i also like to point out that there also cons for his rizz thing, that is attracting tacet discord, example getting attacked by the narwhal and the dragon all because his frequency rizz, also in the end, so far we have been in place that doesnt have much issue/confict in them, as in they are not yet in state of societaly deteriotate, and the fact that our interaction so far is with those that already have good alignment to them, so it just draw them of more trusting toward rover as already are if there no rizz generator, its would be more prevalent whether the rizz generator is lazy writing or not in a place where distrust and all kind of intent from many side mixed in one place. Also imagine, because rover innate rizz charisma, they actually more prone to schemes like betrayal, we will see how they write when we facing neutral/faction with hidden agenda etc, place full of conflict and distrust, and inherently, the reason and logic why its exist on the first place is fit again the narration since beginning of the story. Not something that just suddenly happen or without explanation. Personally for me, its not lazy writing, rather source of potential and decently rooted to the narration.

Now imagine they actually act as an organized faction or army, but we just haven't seen it yet. This could throw a lot into the plot.

We just haven't seen many factions in the game so far for those kinds of plots to happen. So yeah, as for the foreseeable plot in Rinascita, we probably won't see anything that complex yet, at least until after version 2.2-2.3.

It feels like they are just like a noble societal structure except with a mafia twist, with the church having the biggest power but balanced by other mafia factions.

But I expect there's more to it than that, considering there's some kind of warning not to trust the sentinel, not to mention the hidden secret that there's a Threnodian below, who seems to have their own plot.

so yeah anyway, uhh, reason why i look into WuWa with some optimism is because i know kuro can and already proven to be able to create complex story in PGR, thought as science type person, i would rather for them to delve more into the apocalypse itself, their mysteries, origin, and explanation, how they work etc etc rather than overly complex plot like human melodrama conflict and issues, it would be cool if they put it there, but i dont want it to be the main focus or actively hinder the very main plot of this story, the apocalypse, or atleast until we know majorly information about the lament, that resonate with cosmic horror theme.

well in the end, only time will answer, Kuro did say they will do big expansion every 6 month, so maybe around 1.2 to 1.8 year, we will approach complex level story and while having enough understanding of the lament.
