First and foremost I saw gacha as a free game.

However, since I am used to free games (from MMOs before era of gacha), as well as having not much money to get things from microtransactions (including gacha), I develop a habit of patience to hold on things and temperance to just let things go when I don't get it. I think this is one thing that gacha players need to eventually develop. Patience and knowing when to give up, even when it is meta stuff.

Like... do I really want to go meta and spend like $300 to finish one endgame that probably just gonna net you 3-4 rolls? For me it's definitely a no. Do I care if other people look down on me for not finishing it? Fortunately, no (There are people whose self-worth are determined from that, though). I know I have my own limits and will not push that limit.

Unfortunately true, there just all kind of people after all, and some have the loudest voice and entitlement, of course its my wishfull thinking that gacha game will become friendly, but gotta take it realistically, if people keep funding the gacha game, there obviously never gonna be downtrend of exploitive method they use, so all you can is self knowledge yourself and know what are you joining into and slowly adapt patience, but there always some difference few in between, for example like Limbus company, the game offer you an option to be able to get all character available in the game just by grinding, so hopefully its call for a reason, wuwa honestly could avoid the 50/50 but then again, because of proof that people can accept it and gives profit, so we having it, when there already PGR with 100% guarantee banner.

TLDR: Gacha could be less predatory, but its need player to also takes responsibilities, if you keep spending your wallet on actively and clearly predatory gacha system, its wont become any better and instead makes those kind practises thrive even more and have more clone, you should instead avoid it, its basic logic where no people and no money flow, no market thrive, and in return company would need to adapt better instead becoming worse, player have the power to shape the market, so that the most basic responsibilities you have if you really want to make the market less predatory, by supporting or advocating similar genre with less predatory mechanic.
