The thing is, platinum relics for the N. Sane Trilogy (basically Crash 1, 2, and 3) are optional for the completion BUT it's mandatory for Crash 4

Because the N. Sane Trilogy (and the franchise as a whole except for certain games, Crash 4 is one of them) treated Platinum Relics as a "bragging right"

While Crash 4 has its own "bragging right" relic which is the ToysForBob relic (a.k.a. the Purple Relic)

So in Crash 4, the Platinum Relic is now considered a requirement for 106% completion
