Reversion removes XP equivalent to what you need from 1 to 90.

Since XP required grows exponentially, when you are 100+ it only removes a couple of levels.
Only Revert to breakpoints (1, 5 etc) that unlock skill slots.

So, don't really do reversion to 2, 3. If you do 2, then go straight to 5 is what I mean.

It's very simple.
And you are reverting character, not memoria.
You lose a set amount of XP on reversion.
If you lose levels as a result of this, you lose the stats for that level-up.
Reversion gives a set amount of stats per reversion (very miniscule compared to the cost).
Reversion gives an extra skill slot for the character depending on how many times they were reverted (mainly important is 1 and 5).
You revert for the extra skill slots.

When you reach the level cap, then using the character gives their XP to the Memoria instead if it's SS. You can get another 10 levels this way when using that Memoria.
When reverting you will use the character's XP. The SS Memoria's is untouched.

Usually, I immediately went to Expert (or anything equivalent to the second hardest difficulty before the final tier difficulty) and started from there.

For maimai, I started from Advanced, while CHUNITHM, I started from Expert because I'm somewhat familiar with those types of games except I had to adapt to the air notes.

DDR... I don't know how to find the higher difficulty so I picked Basic cuz I couldn't find Difficult
