You are less likely to get weapon type drops that you need.
That's a big enough reason against adding any new weapon type.
See how Remembrance will work out in HSR.

Or if you want a softer version of this, then Blade was done and buried on release, simply because he had HP scaling and all freely accessible Destruction LCs were Attack bonuses. You either got his LC or he did awful damage.

Releasing a new weapon type is much the same. You don't have a roster of spares you can just slap on.

Entry 1:

It talks about the first girl (L) with the ability to tame monsters; The girl managed to subdue the monster yet was chastised by her mentor (Nell) for causing a mess. It states that God Exists, and he is Dead. His powers still exist, and we are observing the birth of the new one, and her name that we know, isn’t her true name along with the 8th and ----.

Entry 2:

The two girls are paid for their mission, with it stating there are 8 Terras in total, born for the God’s lifeless body, this is the old world of the Shapers and Lephron has always been this way.

Entry 3:

It talks about how the 2 are travelers with L wishing to become a Seeker. While on their way towards the 5th Terra, they saw golden strands pouring from Lephron’s spine. Each one leading to another world, and among them was Arcanea. It states that arcanea was not born from Lephron itself nor is it his creator. Nevertheless, this sight took Nell’s life.

Entry 4:

…and yet Nell isn’t dead yet. She will die later and some more later.

They eventually meet the 2nd Seeker, “Faith”

They were there to help her but she paid them no mind. Faith eventually opens up that she expected another shaper to assist but Nell tries to joke they’ll be just as good.

L eventually gets annoyed and asks why bother and lays the ultimate question, ‘The shapers killed god didn’t they?”

As Nell gets pissed off, the sky becomes stormy, stating that while god is dead, He still has a voice.

Entry 5:
It talks about how despite having the hands of God, L is still a child and as such are powerless to change fate.

It talks about how the 2nd wishes to destroy Lephron at its spine within the next 2 days. Powerless, L wonders what they have to do to save Lephron

…To which Nell suggests they can simply leave it via a strand.

Nell suggests L leave as since they heard Lephron’s voice, she can still stop Faith.
"You want to be a god, L, and I know what you believe a god to be but Lephon is Himself the example. A god isn't a being of power and whim; a god is a savior and protector, and that's why we call one's favor grace, and a blessing."
Within those 2 days, they hatched what Lephron told them.

Entry 6:

Nell and L arrive to stop Faith from Rebirthing the broken world. Faith merely destroyed Nell and as she rose to woke up, she ponders, why did Lephron speak to her, just like he did to Faith all those years ago? And then they say, God. Nell was wreathed in golden threads, now as the 8th Seeker “compassion” and thus, a new god is born.

Entry 7:

Both seekers fought. Faith could not get the upper hand, and thus targeted L. Nell died, and was thrown aside by Faith. As L watches, she remembers her first love gave her was "L"—simple and honest, but it became affectionate. Still, it was only one letter of her true name. Her name was special.

This is true:
"Lephon" is One God.

"Lacrymira" is Another.

Lephron hears nothing, but he hears Lacrymira; and she can control him. And that she did. She asked about Nell and agreed, She would take her place as number 8, Insight. And what of Faith? She fought God, and was turned to dust.

As L, Insight revives Nell and talks to her, Nell basically L is in love with nell her master. Master urges her to move on.

L throws a fit and brands Compassion as 6th or Forlorn Before leaving her. And Thus, “Taritsu was gone” leaving in a portal.
In her journey, L found Arcanea and met her teacher yet she doesn’t know this.

Now...
The new God's will is whim, and She is a capricious girl.
Her aims? Wouldn't you like to know them.

Well but, have one truth before you go:
Don't believe in Her.
Belief makes "truth", after all.
Because you see, while the creator of that place has lost her power—
and while Arcaea may be dead or dying...
this is so:
There, god is not.

Do not trust the serpent, for faith gives power.

Entry 8: 4th wall break the whole way

She talks about how she’s been constantly trying to fix the world and yet it constantly falls into ruin. Despite everything she remembers all the old worlds despite nobody else. And as she considers some things are better off forgotten;

Ok so real quick, the spoilers aren’t numerous but I’ll would like to still address them.

Entry one:

||It outright states Tairitsu or 8th knew god was dead and ends with the 6th the mentor and Lacrymira.||

Entry 2: || bit more of the same, implying she had more than enough control to even see those monsters as mere tools for her fun ||.
Entry 3: || has no changes ||
Entry 4: ||Not much changes, from the girls to “we”. ||
Entry 5: || God is called outright by his name, and faith is replaced with submitted, showing 8ths callous attitude to the creator.||
