Dock Space and Dorm Slots are the biggest offenders.

Dorm slots not so bad since you can just slot in and out but Dock Space....Yeah

you start out with only 200

and rn there's like 800+

Dorm let's you regen Mood for the girls you put in it.
Low Mood = No extra XP.
No Mood = Losing Affection from battles.
So having 6 slots in your Dorm means you can grind longer.

It's a bit more complex than should be honestly.
You have Oil instead of Stamina.
The cost of a battle is depending on your ships rarities and limit breaks. Higher break/rarity = more cost for the battle. (Some stages have Oil cap, but let's not go into that.)
So when grinding you want to grind non-capped stages you will be running specific ships from your roster to have lower costs. Lower costs means more fights. More fights means more Mood you use up. So you want the whole fleet in Dorm.

You start with 2 Dorm slots for your 6 ship fleet. And in some missions peasant like me need to run 2 fleets even.

Basically what F2P should spend on:

• Get 3 Dorm slot.
• Get 2nd floor in Dorm (2nd floor has the same slots unlocked as first floor, so you get up to 6 this way)

Because you are getting pulls in Cubes, there is no refreshing Gem source.
Only first time clears from Main Story and some Collection Bonuses. They throw some at you on anniversaries.
Besides these if you are lucky you get a Commission that can give Gems. If you are lucky you might actually get the Gems too.

I have 200 space now. Game has ~700 ships now. I have quite a bit more Gems left to grind out from first clears, but if we ignore that (or write it off as space for grinding), then I need to buy 500 more.
That 10000 Gems.

Basically buy the biggest pack once for 80 USD, then you can have everyone (which won't happen right away anyways).

yeah, its lvl 80, the chapter 10 boss [post story boss] is 74

im ilvl 72

and its really dumb that its immune to half the elements and resistant to half the rest

same for that chapter 10 boss

so i was using ancient curse since its non elemental but it costs 30 MP to use

and its sooo tanky

i ran out of mana/mana healing items

and had to go the slow route

for revives, i had to rely on careena to revive since she can regenerate 10 mp per 10 seconds for endless revival

problem is, if she dies and val die, for some reason, it always revives val first and not careena so it uses 2 of my revives

i ended up running out

and he was so close to dead too

i just said nah, im done

I was on a road trip with Haicma from PGR and Tingyun from Star Rail
Those are my 2 ultra waifus in each game
Yet Tingyun was actually a willing 3rd wheel and seemed to want me to clank clank with Haicma
