yeah, the cryogenic theme and pure "untouched" homo sapiens DNA was one of the main plot point in Fallout 4 regarding the MC's son.

anyways, the trait that i meant was more like, let's say : MC was a soldier during his era. there's an old tactical strat that the people in the current era don't use anymore. surprisingly, this old tactic works well and became one of the main reason the MC could succeed defeating his enemies

And soon enough, you discover just how many millenia have passed, and humanity has now managed to spread to the stars.

"Problem" is: All those big human factions/empires aren't fully human in some way or other anymore. (Cybernetics, genetic engineering, mutations, sudden psionics, turned into a hive mind etc...)

So the people in your colony ship might very well be the last remaining "genetically pure" examples of Homo Sapiens.

These are your crew and ship's adventures to find a place to colonise, in peace away from the Empires, pirates and other ne'er-do-wells that are interested in you.
