What I meant is you can't compare it to Pokemon because in pokemon you attack with a single unit until you switch them out which wastes your turn

Although this in itself is a strategy to master this means on surface level you got 4 skills. While if we convert this to HSR you got 8 skills in total you can use before your turn ends
This makes for a more complex gameplay on surface level than Pokemon because you've got skill points to worry about, unlike pokemon.

If you go deeper, of course Pokemon is way more diverse and complex. I'm not gonna deny that. HSR also has for it the ult timing and some units with counger mechanics/bonus turns and skill point management. Just saying if you wanna compare then a more valid comparison would be Octopath Traveler which has a similar system to HSR, just way more strategic with 8, instead of 4 characters to manage.

I do agree it copies some elements from Genshin. Including the UI, constellations and skill tree (for the most part). But this is where it stops and tries to be its own thing.
Though imo it fails on the surface level with people calling it a TBRPG Genshin. Genshin: Star Rail.
