While Oblivion is kind of in META, her position isn't strong as she's like 3 years old already. But she managed to stay in META due to her element converge skill and leap skill. But outside of her nihil team (Oblivion + Nirvatia + Ishmael), Oblivion doesn't perform very well.

You got the wrong definition of "limited".

Kamui isn't limited but it'd take a while until he got back. Like, half a year or something. And since he's the strongest now, having him would give you much easier time to fight end game content (weeklies and biweeklies stuffs) which gives you resources to upgrade other chars.

Alpha is limited, yes. But she's nowhere near as strong as Kamui. And her event is going to give you enough tickets to pull her if you only need to SS0 her. So, unless you are Alpha simp or really care about the META, you can get Alpha next patch without problem

As a f2p and a semi casual player I never really tried to go deep into the team builds and stuff on this game. I just use a team I like and mash buttons till I learn a combo. And even when I'm summoning for characters I only get a single copy and no signature weapon or the pet. Even if I get the sig and pet I feel like if I don't go all the way to SSS+ than it's a waste?
