Exploration got a bit better since first year. But won't lie in sayin' it's good, just better than before.
Combat overall I find fun, but annoying and tedious for end-game modes. Because you need to actually to rotations and optimized switches to meet the timer.

you’re getting knocked back? that barely ever happens in your rotation. are you running Gen1 or Gen2 units? If so, you can just swap them out quickly when it happens. Gen3 is all about perfecting your rotation, if you get knocked back there, you just restart and try again
