there are 3 generations in pgr
gen 1, gen 2 and we are currently in gen 3

gen 1 characters were weak and slow
gen 2 characters higher damages and bigger movesets but most importantly they brought time lag calculation, the stage time freezes while using signature move
and gen 3 brought even bigger damage numbers with the addition of the entire affix system
