Find a character you like to play

be it Nanami Starail [Lighting + Fire]
Lucia Pyroath [Fire + Plasma beam]
Selena Pianissimo [Glacial + Phys]

Once you've chosen your main dps char
build a team around her basically.

For guides you have this chat or Rexlent/whoever on youtube you watch

and as to how to farm for pulls

You wanna focus on Pain cage farming and Warzone stages for weekly
Do story for black cards
And old events for both black cards and gold cards for character pulls.

You don't even need to worry about the score to get the Black cards in weekly challenges

You will take your time, build up your characters
Focus on doing outlier point
And when you've ultimate ascended 3 teams you will no longer struggle to get most of the rewards in it.

Gen 3 = Effects (or affixes), also have tlc but that's the standard now

The thing is affix teams need so much investment to properly work they're really new player unfriendly. Nothing is stopping you from investing in them of course but if you're just a dmc fan then Dante and Vergil by themselves can carry you through most early game content tbh you don't really need to build a team for them until you get to end game competitive stuff.
