The most important dupe is SS this can be obtained for free through a game mode called Pain cage and that would need 500 currency from that mode to do so.

Some dupes are essential but isn't a requirement, really depends on the character

The gacha works a bit different, Debut characters are 100% rate up for 60 pulls in the themed banner.

This is the advised banner for pulling new units/characters.
Weapons are always here outside of collab ones and they are 80% rate up as well.

Some characters would like their weapon more than others so its a case by case basis but EVERYONE can function without it.

If you lose the 80/20, you will have a guarantee next time, there is also cubs which are basically pets but is very optional and usually only whales use Bc on them. Generally Weapons are better than dupes and you can get a character S chaatcter at SS for free in the pain cage

The crossover/collab hasn't actually happened yet, that's coming on the 6th of august - You will obtain a free copy of Dante from the event which comes in that patch and Vergil unfortunately is a gacha unit only.

The collab itself uses the Black card currency and each pull of Vergil or Dante costs 10,500 Black Cards/collab tickets - Each pull of Dante or Vergil will come with a free copy up to 2 times.
