So I am kinda new and I got promoted for the first time but there is a separate counter that reaches 100 iirc I think it's called merit and the top 1 gets most of it.
The question is: how does the promotion and the counter of "merit" are related? Bc I got promoted while the counter is going slowly.

it's for hero bracket; when u have 100 merit and score top 2 in hero bracket u get promoted to legend

Yes it will, you'll lose the resonance. Hypertune is a stat buff to the memories itself, if you get 6 characters with full memories hypertuned you can them apply them into something called sequence pact which is apart of border pact game mode.
