(very minor gore warning on the feet)

im a beginner artist and in trying to make a very introverted guy that has modified legs made for sprinting for reasons, the pose im going for is the kind of pose you make when you're not sure if a conversation you dont want to be in is done or not. i also imagine the clothes being detailed and shaded contrast to the simple face.

the main issues i have are what colors i should use for the t-shirt and jeans (the palm tree stays), aswell as what i can do the clothes flow more naturally (how to draw wrinkles and folds in general). ontop of that i think the jeans look a little bland and flat.

Im pretty sure theres something wrong with the shoulders, arm, and the foreshortening on the left leg.

im 10,000% ok with redlining any other advice or criticism would be GREATLY appreciated.

A bit of an overpaint to show where and how wrinkles might appear :o

For an introverted character i think this kind of almost bland color palette for the outfit works really well! Especially in contrast to the unusual saturated blue skintone :D

for wrinkles and folds it kind of depends on the fabric, the fit of the clothes and what’s underneath
Logically they should appear in creased areas like the knee where the fabric bunches up, as well as the extended areas like the knee (again haha but this time the top part) towards which fabric is being dragged!

#

Then theres folds around the inner thighs, again a bendable area tho these do really depend on how tight the clothes are etc.

Adding visible bunches of fabric to the outline also helps with visual interest :) thats why i added some to the inner knee
you can also accent the sewing lines often visible on jeans for more detail

Your wrinkles on the shirt make sense! So like you said- detail it a bit more! :D

I think the foreshortening on the left leg is fine! The arm could use some work but i ran out of time, sorry ;-;

THANK YOU SO MUCH! ive always struggled with fabric flow and overly detailed artworks in general, this actually helped me visualize how the tshirt should have went in then settled on his pants, aswell as where there would be dents and protrusions in the pants.

i KNEW it would interact with the rolled up part at the bottom, i just didn't know how. again, thank you so much. you didn't have to put so much effort but nonetheless this has all been a big help!
