So just drew this after practicing the eyes to track my progress of learning to draw faces and smth abt mine looks like a mannequin head with a hand painted face while the hair looks like it’s bit by a lion. I have no clue how to fix and whats wrong with the face and the body looks like it’s dislocated and the hands are too thick to me. HOW TO FIX THEM? ALSO I BEG FOR CRITIQUE

i think it looks like a mannequin head because the chin doesnt go out at all
i dont think the hand is too thick
i do think the right shoulder (his left) is too skinny compared to the other one
i think the neck is too skinny too

heres a very very messy edit i did with a mouse, wasn't sure how old he was meant to be but he seemed youngish so i went with that(i don't really do anime either). theres a lot of proportions in the face that are just slightly off, you get more of a feel for it the more real faces you draw. maybe this edit can help you visualise some things. i always love the trick of drawing the neck as a cylinder too, makes it so much easier to visualize

The eyes were too wide apart and felt flat, tho you drew the pupils and iris correctly which is great.
The nose was too long
The neck too thin
For the hair is drew a random hairstyle bc i couldn't make out what you wanted but to make it short hair is like an umbrella if you want. There's points on the top of the head where all the hair come from, you just have to draw strands of hair going out from a point on the head

For the hair tho I just draw something to cover up and I was planning to top it off with way more lines and layers but idk I still weren’t satisfied

Just did some adjustments, I also got a new eye and hair. I may have used the circle method the wrong way (I think) but the hair looks way better and also thickened the jaw but I wanted to repaint the skin and clothing since I fixed some of the head. Is there any more that I could fix? Also I seem to be having trouble with the hand because it looks just wrong
