#Shading problem 😔

Is the light coming from right or left? Bc if it goes from the left you’ve got a wrong colour
Typically shadow will be darker AND cooler than the base colour you’re using
If what’s coming from the left is your light source then you need to shade the right side of her facec more - her nose for example would be casting shadow, there’d be one on the Chin as well (shadow I mean)
I recommend typing in Pinterest „face Lightning reference” or smth like that and copying that onto your piece. You can use either photos of real people or drawn ones. I feel like drawn ones would be easier to apply since your art is really stylized
e.g.
Also quick tip- usually if something that is casting shadow is close to the thing that is in this shadow, the edge of the shadow is hard,so you can see a clear line between the part that is shaded and the one that is in the light
So I wouldn’t use airbrush tool to indicate the shadow that is casted by the hair
Alrighty, tysm also, the light is coming from the bottom-ish left.(same person just different account-)
After the success of the first one, I decided to create another version of the lighting tool. So this is the Female simplified head version. Hope it will help you for your works ! feel free to share =) ! ( Also ! If you have other ideas of model you want like animals for exemple, tell me ! )
