well what kind of character are you trying to draw? knowing who and what they are can help inspire the costume. clothing folds are hard but try to image where the fabric is being taught and where it might be being compressed, then using reference you can learn to draw those types of folds
Easy fix, go on Pinterest and scroll for inspo
im not quite sure what to search
i draw many characters but as of right now i'm designing a mechanical based character , and i know that the basic silhouette should be tighter at the top and looser at the bottom bc that would fit it best but i'm haivng trouble finding clothing that doesn't look too simple for inspo
Well, what aesthetic are you going for?
What is the personality of your oc?
I know some good keywords to use
aesthetic is sorta y2k, or you could say y3k considering that the world is a bit more advanced and the personality of the character is more down-to-earth and less emotional
as in when i draw her the expression wouldn't be very happy or sad but more solemn or uncaring
Search up retro futurism
just asking, do you just know these keywords off of the top of your head or are you getting it from a source
I'm a nerd
I watch a lot of futuristic shit, but you could probably search it up?

May I request help from thee, oh great Pinterest deity…?
I have a character who’s a fallen angel and I kinda want the design to be easy to draw but I can’t find good inspo
Please help, oh great Pinterest god
You shall, my child
If your doing anything angel related
You should use the keyword ethereal
Like "ethereal art" or "ethereal clothing" you could also just search up robes or Lolita fashion
Hope this helped🙏
Thank you oh great Pinterest god
Your welcome!
