Hpw do I go from greyscale to color without it looking muddy and just bad in general

Gradient maps, or blending modes (I use color, overlay or multiplay) Either way you’ll be forced to do extra touch ups at the end 🥀💔 recently I’ve been using tone curves because gradient maps don’t make sense to me lol, just use the lasso tool to select the parts you want to add color to and start playing with the color graphs until it looks good
