#why does my coloring look so off?

I know the original message was deleted but, personally, i like to go on the layer underneath my sketch/line art and block it out in grey. once im done blocking it out i select my grey area (make a new layer) and colour over it. that should help a bit!
personally grey is my favourite way to do it because every colour you place down is its 'true' colour (hue/shade/tone not being changed because of a white background) but you can do this with white as well. its up to your personal pref
you can search up some tutorials to see how its done properly :)
this works for every program
