#Why does my sketch look better than my line art???

Perhaps it's because the lines are colored, and maybe that gives the art a more colorful feel. But even so, I think the line art is better than your sketch.
It could be, but unfortunately I can't have colored line art on this character because their colors are black and white
I notice right away that your sketch, because it's not neat line art - has natural shading. Check out the hand on his face. Notice the shadow?
I think the detached line in the sketch also gave the figure more form. Being that you have square limbs, that detached line in the sketch actually gives the illusion of his arm being turned slightly.
Line for the crotch needs to be adjusted. The wider part of the line looks a bit odd.
Edit: your sketch doesnt look better it just has unintended details that get lost in translation. Your line art looks great.
I SEE IT

OMG
I think your line art could benefit from a more intentional use of line weight
Sorry for late response, but could u show me what that would look like? I don't really understand what line weight means
