Something isn't working

I've been toiling away at the composition of this piece for days, and everyone I show it to says it looks great but every time I see it no matter what I do something feels.. off
Lmk if ya got any suggestions:))

Hii, imo I think the left side is quite empty compare to the right. Making right side more heavier than left. As a suggestion I would try and balance it more. For example making the assuming moon bigger and more centered.
You can also think of it like the left side doesn't give much information of the images story currently except an empty desert. And having an empty desert taking 50% of the canvas might be a bit to much when you maybe want to tell more of the story of the cowboy?

My problem is that to capture the vibes of the game it's super important that i show a lot of the desert
