never be afraid to shade A LOT. I see a lot of new artists being afraid of shading which makes their drawings fade into the background or not stand out. Also make sure to find a direct light source
Understandable, but wdy mean by shade a lot?
Like add darker and lighter values
Ahhhh
Also make sure when u do get darker make sure the hue gets cooler, it makes it look smooth and not muddy
Ye I was trying to make the light source on top of their heads but it js doesn't look like it rn lol
Ah lol
Alright, :D
But that aside you dou have any like fav artist you have that teaches rendering?
I don't really have one
Oh that’s hard I gotta think 😔😔
Eh ts alright,you've helped plenty
I like a lot of Junji itos colors and Satoshi Kons rendering style
Ye that junji ito semi realism look does look nice
Man all this value gray scale and whatever terms that relates to rendering are sure not easy huh

LOL takes a while to learn 😭, a nice tip is occasionally turning ur drawing to grayscale and seeing what needs to get darker and lighter
Hihiii I’m not a professional so don’t take anything I say too seriously but I just made this quick thing I think might be helpful
Btw the base shadow color should be decently darker than the skin color in light and you should also have a second shadow color that’s darker than the base shadow (use it to shade the darkest parts like under the neck)
Very interesting
I've heard of this stuff iirc but I don't really know how to implement it to my own drawings
Ill try adding that to my arsenal
Thank you 🙏
Yeah for sure cause it really depends on your artstyle and what you want your art to look like
You’re welcome and feel free to let me know if you need any more help!! ^^
