well my message got deleted. but I am not fully sure how to start this as I really a beginner and I am not sure how to ask these types of questions. I am looking for some feedback and looking to ask for help with some concepts. I have the idea in my head though I am not fully sure how best it is to do it phsyically.

The main concept is that the character is a cosmic artist, someone who is able to alter reality and make dreams and hopes into reality. Someone who is willing to help others and make their dreams into reality. how exactly to make this into a proper concept I am not fully sure. The original idea I had was for the the different reality's would be flowing out of his body, which would allow him to alter them and allow him to create the different dreams into a shape. this was why I had the film kinda flowing through his body and out of his body. though I feel like the concept I have isn't that good and I would love some feedback and thoughts. sorry if I this post isn't the best this is the first time I am really asking for something like this.

apparently sending the imagie is hard. I am also debating if it would be better to lean more into 3d vs 2d but I am not sure. I would love some thoughts and suggestions thank you for reading Pinkgirl_heart

For the 3d thing i used to use the software from pixiv you’re using (i forgot the name) and it’ll be a really powerful pose and reference tool, it’s really up to you on leaning to 2d vs 3rd but either way if you’re leaning into 3d you’ll always use 2d for your concepts and if 2d then you’ll use it for reference

the only thing is I don't really have the talents to do either or and I am not even sure where to start or how to really proceed

Vroid yeah, you can just start learning 2d until you understand the basic fundamentals since 3d itself is a lot more time consuming and a headache

#

Drawing a character is straight forward compared to trying to model a usable character which have

  • Cloth simulation
  • character rigging
  • texture and UV
  • sculpting
And the hundreds of 3d terms you’ll end up needing to search documentations for

yeah, I just don't have the drawing pad which is where I am kinda back to square one idk if that makes sense

#

I am also not sure what you think of the film idea

Making characters based off reality bending is pretty hard but at least you can search for how media portrays them, it’s really ultimately up to you on how you think the film reel portayal will look say in 2d/3d games, or say if you imagined it a character in games like genshin impact

#

Theres nothing wrong with the film concept since it clearly depicts multiple realities

though do you think it is a interesting concept? or more if a overplayed type of thing?

Its one of the more fun concepts I’ve had dealing with before

#

Viewers analyze how the concept is used since it’s complex

#

For example in the game titanfall2,
||you have a time shift watch where say you’re standing where you are right now, activating it will send you back in time but at the same point and place, so say you’re in the modern world and there’s a path blocked by rubble, you just activate your watch and you go back in time to when the path wasn’t blocked||

I just been struggling normally I am very creative when it comes to ideas and concepts but with this I have been struggling hard.

Best advice I could give is taking a step back and enjoy media that feature similar mechanics

sour sable
#

maybe I am just struggling because when I look at the model and think of who I am it just doesn't click as it doesn't feel that I am that person

#

idk if that makes any sense at all

#

I do hope I am not being to negative or anything

it's really not for me to comment on how a concept will do since you're the one who'll be the most familiar with it and are the source of describing and detailing the character, but i hope that art snippet on the top right the hand to our left having the back of its palm facing is intentional because if you do that pose yourself your left hand has the back of the palm facing us and the right hand has the inside of the palm facing us
