How do you learn fundamentals?

Hi, I'm trying to seriously get better at art, but I'm a little lost on the fundamentals part, I can get behind doing and learning them, but I'm not sure how to.

I teach drawing fundamentals in an animation school. I have a free drawing fundamentals course that might help you get started. Its designed not only to teach how to draw from observation, but also how to study effectively. You can use apply these study methods to learn any subject.
