Help on making art more interesting

Hello! Can anyone please give me some advice on how to make this look more interesting? I feel right now it feels like something is missing and looks 'unfinished' to me, any advice would be really appreciated!

I would add more shadows to give more attention to the focal points. Right now everything is very bright, its taking away from the monster and person

I did a rq idea of the shadow stuff (lol the book might still be too bright but yknow)

I think it makes it much more dramatic

I also made the guy bigger since I feel like he was too small

Since the perspective is looking up

I think the light should also be a bit smaller, actually. I shouldve caught that sooner
