Imo, it's the shape of the eyes. The angle of the face is like a 3/4 view but the eyes don't feel like that. I did a quick liquify and this is the result.
The neck looks weird, idk how to explain it but it’s too thick in the character’s right on the bottom otherwise the advice on the eyes Son gave you is really good
Thank you all so much, very very helpful. And the liquify really makes a big change. I am still trying to get better at anatomy, but I will work on these changes
Its good to not use references. Youre breaking your boundaries and thats how you learn. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is going to give you the fastest improvement.
About the neck, the biggest issue is that is not connected to the ear, which it should be
I will make a visual example reslly fast if you dont mind
Please do, I don't mind. And yes, I am really trying to recognize errors in my work so that I can get better at anatomy. It is a big goal for me right now
Yea thats where references do come in handy, to study things that you didnt know before. But its good that youre mixing in personal practice as well without reference to apply what youre learning so one day you wont have to use references
Oh wow yes, the way the neck was drawn was really off before, I see that now. Thank you so much for your help!
